Yoga

I teach an innovative style of yoga that emphasizes the promotion of wellness and well-being. In our classes, we emphasize the restoration, and rehabilitation of the body and mind in a friendly, welcoming, non-judgmental, and non-competitive environment. “First, do no harm,” is a saying attributed to the ancient Greek physician Hippocrates and we have made it one of our core values. This means that we strive to do everything we can to make sure that our clients and class participants never press themselves beyond their limits. There is no need for this. Based on over thirty years of practice and study we have determined that practitioners at all levels of experience will derive maximum benefit from their practice through the conscious integration of posture, movement, and respiration while working within the natural limits of their body. Our groundbreaking approach strives to honor the discoveries and insights of Western, Chinese, and Ayurvedic physiology. We want to give all participants the tools they need to maximize the benefits of regular practice while minimizing the likelihood of less than optimal outcomes.

Everyone who is interested is very welcome to participate in our weekly sessions. We also will be hosting intensive half-day seminars on different dates and in different locations for individuals wishing to improve their technique and derive a deeper understanding of this approach. Eventually, we will offer certifications and teacher training in this method.
